CD of Mujib’s speech launched

Former chief of the caretaker government Justice M Habibur Rahman termed Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman a rare personality born in this land who came to limelight in the country’s political arena through hard work achieving trust of his colleagues.
"He (Bangabandhu) narrated the sufferings as well as immense potentialities of the country to his people in the rural areas and urban areas as well in an inimitable and unmatched voice," he said while unveiling the cover of the Compact Dick (CD) containing 110 recorded speeches of Bangabandhu spanning from 1970 to 1975 as chief guest at a publication ceremony at Jatiya Press Club yesterday.
Justice Habibur Rahman said the people of the country fought their Liberation War in the name of Sheikh Mujib and Bangladesh is known to the world as the land of Sheikh Mujib.
"Contributions of none was higher than his in achieving the independence of Bangladesh. He is the architect-father of Bangladesh and to many he is the founding father of the nation, who has been voted as the greatest Bangalee of all time by the Bangalee listeners of the BBC," he said adding the people of Bangladesh feels their motherland in Sheikh Mujib.
Thanking the research institution ‘Shekar Sandhan’ (Inquest of root) for publishing two volumes of CD titled ‘People’s Voice’ recorded with 110 historical speeches of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Justice Habibur Rahman expressed his confidence that the voice of Sheikh Mujib would be a source of inspiration to many.
Presided over by former state minister for information and Awami League central leader Prof Abu Sayeed, the publication ceremony was also addressed by Bangabandhu Parishad president Justice KM Sobhan, Muktijoddha Sanghati Parishad chairman Col (Retd) Shawkat Ali MP, Awami League Advisory Council member KM Jahangir Hossain MP, former vice-chancellor of Dhaka University Prof AK Azad Chowdhury
and secretary general of ‘Shekar Sandhan’ and Awami League central leader Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, among others.
