Mohammad A. Alim
Dear Readers,
NFB has launched the Science and Technology page this month with the objectives for the contributors and investors working together to structure industries within Bangladesh. This page will be updated as we receive contributions.
The opportunity for the innovators and investors of working together can ultimately utilize available manpower and natural energy resources to produce globally consumable goods in Bangladesh.
Thus, this page is addressing all technocrats of Bangladesh and Bangladeshi origin to work together to build Bangladesh at the shortest possible time. As an Editor of this page I am sending message to all contributors having their product oriented innovations.
A contributor can send articles outlining description of the product, manufacturing methods and instruments, requirements to manufacturing, technical know how, estimated cost involvement, availability of raw materials, quality control of in-coming and in-process materials, end-product transportation and shipment, etc.
Also solutions to the existing problems can be outlined in the form of articles in the same manner so that both general and interested readers can delineate underlying essence of the content. As an example, solution to the flood problem or drinking water problem at remote places within the country is anticipated in this page.
Potential executioners and investors can contact the solution provider or innovator either directly or through NFB to dispatch communications among the parties. Foreign investors and entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate in building the economy of Bangladesh and suggest their requirements to work with the people in Bangladesh. There is no restriction to utilize the content for the Bangladeshis as long as it benefits Bangladesh as a whole.
Each article will be edited or corrected to convey proper message to the readership and, thus, avoiding erroneous information or punctuation for the readers. I intend to preserve the right to do editing or reviewing articles to present essence of the content.
I request all the contributors to come forward with their intention in the form of written contribution and forward them directly either to me or to the Editor’s desk of NFB in attention of Mr. Tanvir A. Chowdhury.
Electronic communication is highly recommended using Microsoft WORD files as attachment. Please avoid PDF files as it is not accessible to easy editing. After the completion of the editing job the article will be published in this page. While editing continues I intend to be in constant touch with the contributor.
Let us unite and work together to achieve an eventual decent standard of living in Bangladesh during our life time through industrialization. I am very much hopeful and encouraged seeing compatriots in many respectful positions at various organizations and institutions all over the world. Individually we possess enormous talent and excellent merit but we did not put them together. Time knocks to put these credentials together instead of waiting and observing what happens next. Why not we make things happen now for the next generations to come?
Sincerely,
Mohammad A. Alim
