Bridal Festival Jewellery Expo begins in city

A three-day ‘Bridal Festival and Jewellery Expo-2005’ began at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the city on Friday.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Barrister Moudud Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest.

In his speech he said the exhibition may attract a large number of people from Dhaka city and also else where of the country as marriage is a permanent relation for human being.

A total of 84 stalls from 47 business houses have taken part in the exhibition. Commerce Ministry Adviser Barkat Ullah Bulu, Editor of the Financial Mirror Kazi Jahangir Alam, Managing Editor Shahjahan Bhuiyan and Executive Editor Professor Nurul Karim Nasim were also present on the occasion.

Monthly fashion magazines-the Mirror and Lifestyle-have organised the exhibition.

The fair will remain open from 10 am to 8 pm on all days (Dec 2-4 ) and the entry fee per person has been fixed at Taka 20.

Later, the minister accompanied by some high ups of the fair went round various stalls and talked to some of the owners.
