Bangladeshi shot by Indian BSF along C’nawabganj border

Monday September 10 2012 18:41:21 PM BDT

Chapainawabganj, Sept 10 (UNB) - A Bangladeshi young man was shot and wounded by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Masudpur border in Shibganj upazila early Monday.

The injured was identified as Mister, 20, son of Emajul Haque of Tarapur village in the upazila.

Major Naim of BGB Battalion-9 said the BSF members from Shuvapur Camp opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi nationals while they were moving around the bordering area at about 12:05 am, leaving Mister critically injured.

His companions, however, escaped unhurt.

Mister was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
